About Our Conferences
The Pennsylvania Economic Association welcomes papers in all areas of economics and business. The typical PEA conference usually opens on a Thursday evening with a reception for all conference participants. Then, concurrent sessions are held on Friday and Saturday morning of the conference.
Benefits to participants include receiving collegial feedback on current research, networking with fellow economists and business faculty interested in research and teaching, the opportunity to publish your paper in the conference Proceedings, and the opportunity to submit your paper for publication in the Association’s peer-reviewed, Cabell’s-listed journal—the Pennsylvania Economic Review.
In addition, the schedule usually includes a distinguished keynote speaker and luncheon on Friday and an afternoon round-table discussion by top economists from the Federal Reserve.
